LGU Bagabag Awards and Recognition


The local government unit of Bagabag is very competitive with other municipalities of the province of Nueva Vizcaya and the country as a whole. It is evidenced by the following outstanding awards and recognitions.
“Award of Excellence to Bagabag Public Market” for having the Healthiest Market in Nueva Vizcaya for the year 1998-1999 which was awarded on December 22, 1999.
“Cleanest and Greenest (Lowland) Municipality 2001-2002”


“Outstanding Achievement Award” to Bagabag Municipal Peace and Order Council and “1999 Best Municipal Peace and Order Council” 4th to 6th Class Municipality. This was awarded on February 12, 2001.
“5th Place” on the Search for Huwarang Palengke ng Lalawigan ’05 which was awarded on October 24, 2003.
“Second Place” in the Healthy Market Category for the year 2005 in the search for healthy settings in Nueva Vizcaya.
“Top Local Revenue Collector” for having attained the Highest Collection Efficiency of 102.14% Region wide under 2nd Class Municipal category, representing CY 2009 collections on Real Property Taxes, Business Tax, Fees and Charges, and Receipts from Economic Enterprise. Awarded on December 1, 2010.
“2011 Rice Achievers Award” an AGRIPINOY award from the Department of Agriculture on the program “Parangal sa mga Bossing ng Palayan”
“Seal of Good Housekeeping” confered to the Municipality of Bagabag, Nueva Vizcaya for CY 2011 in recognition of its efforts in advancing the principles of accountability and transparency in local governance. Awarded by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
“2015 National Quality Corn Achievers Award” for outstanding performance towards the production of quality corn and the development of the Corn Industry. Awarded on October 22, 2015 at Fontana Leisure Parks, Angeles City, Pampanga, Philippines.
“Seal of Child Friendly Local Governance 2015” by the Council for the Welfare of Children for its commitment in promoting child rights to survival; and in developing, protecting and participating towards a Child-Friendly Philippines: A Caring and Protective Society For, By and With the Children.
“Seal of Good Local Governance 2015” for passing the Good Local Governance Assessment Areas in: Financial Administration, Disaster Preparedness, Social Protection, Business- Friendliness and Competitiveness, Environmental Management, and Peace and Order.
“Seal of Good Local Governance 2016” “Pagkilala sa Katapatan at Kahusayan ng Pamahalaang Local” wasconferred to the Minicipality of Bagabag, Nueva Vizcaya symbolizing the municipality’s journey towards good local governance upholding the standards of transparency, integrity and service delivery.Given on October 2016 by the DILG. LGU Bagabag received a cash prize of three million pesos. This was because of the fullest effort and good coordination and cooperation of all local government officials and employees of LGU –Bagabag as well as the National Offices like the Bagabag PNP and Bureau of Fire Department.
“2016 Most Outstanding Anti-Red Tape Implementer” Provincial List. Given on November 3, 2016.

“Hall of Fame Award” of the National Quality Corn Achievers Awards has been awarded to Municipality of Bagabag, Nueva Vizcaya in recognition of outstanding performance towards the production of quality corn and the development of the corn industry for the last three consecutive years last November 16, 2016 in South Cotabato, Philippines. Bagabag brought home the cash prize of two million pesos to augment inputs for corn farmers of the municipality (LGU Bagabag Main Building).
Other awards and recognition received by LGU Bagabag were not included here.
